Some thirty photographs taken by Gustaaf Verswijver during his long stays in the Kayapo villages show aspects of Kayapo everyday life and rituals which he could observe during 1974 and 1981. After having been adopted by the old village chief, he could progressively establish an intimate connection with many family members and other villagers allowing him to take convivial and relaxed photos. The exhibition also includes portraits of Kayapo Indians drawn by Verswijver’s wife Martine de Roeck.
Quelques portraits d’Indiens Kayapo dessinés par Martine de Roeck complètent l’exposition.
